16/10/2025 - @fao MuNe – Food and Agriculture Museum and Network opens in Rome!

Food and Agriculture Museum and Network

On FAO’s 80th anniversary and World Food Day, the doors of FAO MuNe officially opened this morning at FAO headquarters, in a ceremony presided over by FAO Director-General QU Dongyu and President Sergio Mattarella.

Designed by Giò Forma, the museum’s creative, spatial, and emotional identity transforms 1,300 m² into an immersive journey exploring the relationship between food, culture, and sustainability.

Collaborations with internationally renowned artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto and Pablo Atchugarry bring FAO’s mission to life in a tangible, inclusive, and inspirational environment.
FAO MuNe blends art, science, heritage, and technology, serving as a hub for students, families, and international visitors, both in-person and online.

The museum reflects FAO’s commitment to Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, a Better Life, inspiring a sustainable and inclusive food future for all.

Developed with @rimond_group and under the artistic direction of @fao

Thanks to the collaboration with Mauro Belloni for content design and Simone Schiavone and @darius_ita for graphic design.

Open to the public from 20 September – book your visit now
